Kimchi Class

I need to put 6 photos in this layout, that's why I re-used one of my favorite template from Connie Prince's Project 2012 - January Mega stash. I like it because it's simple and so symmetrical! As for the elements and papers, finally I got an excuse to use cooking theme kits from Aprilisa Designs and Meta Wulandari Designs. Both have been lurking in my stash untouchable for months, LOL... Look at those Lisa's wordbits, they are really perfect for this occasion, aren't they? And I really adore the green part of the Meta's journal card which pop this page a lot...

Ginger Scraps : Life Captured - November by Pixelily Designs

I'm in the mood of flower clustering this time. Lily supplied me with beautiful collection of flowers, foliage and pine leaves. So here we go... one of Adin's photo in Korea under the snow flakes. I know it's not winter yet, but it's still cold. Hahaha...

Ginger Scraps : November Buffet - Snowball Fight

Snowball Fight... what a fun and brilliant them to welcome winter! Gunger Scraps Buffet menu this month is full of great winter theme kits including these 3 kits used in my layout here to scrap Acha's dream wish.

Hanbok Day

Getting pictures taken wearing hanbok is one of my dream since I saw the character of Jang Geum in one of Korean TV Drama, which I couldn't recall the title by now :). She looked so elegant but yet still comfortable on it. A rare combination!. Wearing traditional dress, like Indonesian Kebaya for example, requires more effort on term of putting on make up, hair do and the tight kebaya itself. But, it's totally different with hanbok. It's really comfy!

I specifically bought this kit simply because the word arts really represent the theme I want to showcase throughout the layout : FAMILY. I really rarely shop for kits but since it was Black Friday and Sweet Shoppe has this rare 40% discount, so what the heck... just buy it and scrap with it right away! And, the template is from Aprilisa Designs I bought with the coupon I got for winning Gallery Standout Contest the other day.

Note : The 2 Korean Women in hanbook and the korean scroll are not part of the kit. I took it after Googling in a Korean souvenir online shop. The date tag I took from Pixelily Design's Fall Festival Elements.

Meta Wulandari Design : Antiquity

Wow, what a gorgeous vintage black and white kit! See the classic chandelier and the transparent mannequin? Don't you think they are just exquisite!  Love it... gotta to use them in my newest LO here :

Little Green Frog Designs : Tickertape

I think this template is gonna be my all time favorite from LGFD. I love the big picture background and the additional 4 smaller frames surround it. This time, I mirrored it and used it to tell the story of how upset Alyssa was when she has to visit Gyeongbukgong Palace in a cold weather despite the tour guide's promise that all activities would be indoor. It was challenging to put a smile on her grumpy face, let alone took pictures!

She was so pissed off, she didn't want to play with the other kids and just sat down on the wooden bench hugging herself to keep warm. Poor Alyssa... Luckily, after a  half an hour stop at the National Folk Museum she cheered up and even performed her famous somersault in front of Arum and Prita who looked at her in admiration! Yes, this girl knows how to have fun.... :)

Anna Aspnes : ArtPlay Palette Safron Villa

I know that I supposed to scrap our stories in Korea sequentially but I just can't wait to scrap using Anna Aspnes freebies! So, I jumped into day three and hopefully I'll have time to get back to scrap the event on  the earlier days later :). This day, after warm ginseng-chicken soup lunch, we visited Gyeongbokgung Palace which is the most beautiful and grandest of the other five palaces in Korea. The garden complex was really breathtakingly pretty with colorful autumn leaves : red, orange and yellow.
